How you'll contribute:
As an Actuarial Assistant, you'll be a key member of the Annuity Valuation team responsible for Variable Annuity, Structured Annuity, and Fixed Index Annuity products in supporting Annuity GAAP financial reporting, company's transition to LDTI, which includes but not limited to supporting month close and quarter financial reporting, analyzing reserve change and delivering regular and ad-hoc requests to various stakeholders (accounting, finance, reinsurance, audit, etc.).

How you'll contribute:

In this role, you'll get to:
- Support quarter close activities for GAAP financial reporting of SIA, FIA and FA products, including but not limited to - production run, attribution, and sensitivity analysis, etc.
- Support the new valuation system in testing for model improvements and new features etc.
- Research and gain familiarity with relevant product features and actuarial guidelines
- Assist in assumption review and perform/assist in monthly reserve analysis to validate reserve changes, explain reserve changes and interpret financial trends.
- Perform ad-hoc requests from various stakeholders.
We're looking for people who have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Finance
- Completed 1-2+ preliminary exams for the Society of Actuaries
- Intermediate computing and programming skills in 1 or more of the following: Python, Excel, R, VBA, SQL, etc.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environment
- Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn
- Can adjust work resources and deadlines in response to changing business priorities
- Sound business judgment skills (decision-making and problem solving)

What you'll receive:
- Compensation - Candidates for this role can be hired at the Actuarial Assistant or Actuarial Associate level. Level and salary to be commensurate with exam progress.
- Assistant Level (0-3 Exams): Base salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
- Associate Level (4+ Exams): Base salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results
