Advanced Installation Technician Job at Sound and Media Solutions

We are currently seeking an energetic, dependable, motivated Advanced Installation Technician.
What you would do:
- Add value to the team and customers by installing AV systems. Systems include audio and video equipment, electronic communications, presentation systems equipment, cabling, and terminations.
- Interpret project documentation to ensure installation is completed as planned and meets our company standards. Documents to include system flow diagrams, elevations, detail plan drawings and construction schedules.
- Collaborate with the team to lead and successfully complete projects within the time and budget parameters. This includes planning, integration, testing, training, and assuring customer acceptance.
- Creatively solve problems by conducting on-site surveys, servicing AV systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting.
Successful Technician Would Bring:
- Previous experience in the service or installation of audio, video and/or presentation systems.
- An aptitude for reading and understanding blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- The ability to work independently, be self-directed, and interact with our team in a manner that exemplifies our core values.
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Training in electronics and basic computer skills, including networking developed through a mix of work experience, education and certifications.
- CTS-I Certification and PLT license is preferred, but not required with proper experience. Any other industry certifications are also a plus including: Crestron, BIAMP, CQT, QSC, Extron.
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma, or equivalent
