Millennium Corporation is hiring an
Agile Coach. You must be able to travel to Charleston, SC and Stafford, VA for training events and have an
active Secret clearance.
The Agile Coach must:
- Develop and deliver training on Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Coach teams on Agile principles and practices
- Provide guidance and best practices on implementing Agile in different contexts
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospective, and daily stand-ups
- Help teams identify and remove obstacles to Agile adoption
- Continuously improve and update training materials
- Establish cadence, facilitate, and drive the agile ceremonies such as: Daily Standup, Sprint and Iteration Planning, Demo, and Retrospective
- Facilitate impediment removal from the Scrum team
- Identify and drive the implementation of process improvements that significantly advance quality of the product
- Coach Scrum Team on Agile Practices and attitudes
- Generate Agile mentality in staff and teams through conversations, coaching, and mentoring
- Support Product Owner and development team on release planning and implementation
- Foster close cooperation across all team members teams, encourage cross-training and supporting each other.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience coaching on a program, including distributed development of team environment across multiple geographies, time zones, and cultures
- Experience supporting teams in the adoption of Scaled Agile Framework for Lean Enterprises (SAFe) and Agile at Scale framework, including Scrum, Kanban, or Lean
- Experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner Release Train Engineer (RTE), or Agile Coach
- Experience facilitating multi-person events, including Program Increment (PI) planning, planning prep, and agile workshops, including problem-solving workshops
- Experience with facilitating team level or ART level workshops, including backlog refinement and retrospectives to help the team understand the new Agile ways of working
- Ability to apply consulting expertise in collaboration with team to facilitate the maturity of agile processes and practices, including monitoring and coaching continuous improvements while working on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions, coach others who have different levels of understanding, make recommendation for improvements, and see those recommendations to completion
- Ability to coordinate product roadmaps, recognize and perform timely impediment recognition and escalation of issues and needs, and engage contract and client leadership through progress reporting, consensus building, and organization change management to support transformation of delivery using SAFe and Agile practices
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have an active Secret clearance.
- Bachelors in IT Management or Computer Science preferred but all disciplines welcomed.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Certified Scrum Coach or Certified Agile Coach certification.
- Advanced knowledge of Agile frameworks and practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Ability to travel to Charleston, SC and Stafford, VA for training events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-starter. Ability to work independently and take lead on project efforts and lead large teams of people.
- SAFe certified - SPC or SA (Scaled Agile =SA or SAFe Program Consultant = SPC)
Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.
- Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
