Asphalt Distributer (Boot Truck)

Prescott, Arizona – Fann Contracting, Inc - Northern Arizona s leading civil contractor - is searching for an experienced Boot Truck Operator (Asphalt Distributer) to join our team for local and statewide projects. Preference given to candidates with 3 or more years of experience. Annual wage may range between $55K to $60K or more DOE. This is a fulltime, permanent position with benefits. Subsistence (travel pay) of $63 to $73 per day is available when you travel for work please ask for details.

The Asphalt Distributor Operator's primary function is to operate the asphalt distributor truck applying liquid asphalt prior to an area being paved. The operator must perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor. In addition, the operator may be required to perform minor repairs to the equipment and is expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

• Filling asphalt and burner fuel tanks.
• Setting spray bars.
• Spraying joints and other surfaces.
• Cleaning excess asphalt out of tanks, and from spray bars.
• Driving company vehicles.
• Light maintenance of sprayer and vehicle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Hard working and motivated.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site.
• Prepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places (while using fall protection), fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions.
• Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders.
• Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance and stoop, reach on a regular basis.

• Statewide travel is frequently necessary; 4 to 6 days per week possible (subsistence pay available).
• Working alone at night and sometimes on weekends. Shifts may vary.
• High School or Vocational and or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience within the construction industry.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position is not responsible for the oversight of any other teammates
