Situated in the Jerome L. Greene Science Center on Columbia’s Manhattanville campus, the state-of-the-art building offers an environment where the highest level of scholarly scientific research takes place on a daily basis, with the benefit of being located in the heart of New York, one of the world’s most vibrant and culturally rich cities.
A lab within the Zuckerman Institute seeks an Associate Research Scientist (ARS) to facilitate research in neural mechanisms of accurate spatial perception. The individual will analyze physiological data, construct computational models to explain the data, and conduct psychophysical experiments to test the predictions of the models.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in visual neuroscience, computational modeling, machine learning, and visual psychophysics, as well as superior motivation, drive, and demonstrated aptitude for research.

Minimum Qualifications
MD, Ph.D., or doctorate in a related field
Preferred:
Strong candidates will be interested and focused on interdisciplinary work.

Pay Transparency Disclosure
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Pay: $52,587.26 - $66,100.00 per year
