How you make a difference in this role:
The Division of Internal Audit mission is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. The Internal Audit Division assists the Department in accomplishing its strategic objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Subrecipient Grant Monitoring performed to provide reasonable assurance that non-federal entity's that receive awards, in the form of grants or loans, to carry out part of a federal or state
- program according to federal and state rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and contract specifications.
- Properly complete, plan, and schedule monitoring assignments.
- Complete monitoring fieldwork by analyzing financial and technical data through electronic applications.
- Draft monitoring reports to management and external stakeholders.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with internal and external customers.
- Work Grant Title VI Compliance Audit Investigations.
Job Overview:
This position requires a specific knowledge base and understanding to perform reviews for completeness and transparency in order to obtain a reasonable assessment of the entity's operations. This position requires an individual with comprehension prudent of an intermediate level auditor and great attention to detail and skills commensurate to handle its degree of difficulty.
Required Experience:
Candidates will require minimal audit procedural training.
