JOB SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities will be using AutoCAD to produce accurate construction drawings for field use.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Create detailed approval, shop, and installation drawings
- Update construction drawings to job, including but not limited to, exterior structure of commercial buildings
- Fast design to production environment
- Complete redlines for modifications of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements
- Understanding of engineering concepts, principles and techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the operations mangers
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 2-3 years drafting experience
- AutoCAD proficient
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Ability to think strategically, plan proactively, communicate effectively
- Must have high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to multitask, prioritize daily workload and take initiative
· REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- AutoCAD Certificate, Drafting or similar degree or training
- 1-3 years of administrative experience
- Experience in commercial/industrial construction and roofing a plus
- Knowledge in Construction Industry Requirements a plus (Disa, Nasap, Vector)
