Who are we looking for?

As the Bakery Shift Leader you will contribute to the success of Butter Pecan Bakeshop by partnering with management to ensure operations are efficient and that customers have an excellent experience. As the leader, you will demonstrate exemplary customer service, focus, responsibility, a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, motivate others and ensure team members follow policies and procedures at all times.

What will you do?

• Manage shift expectations and ensure staff are following policies and procedures
• Work with the Owner(s) and/or Manager(s) to staff and schedule bakery employees
• Welcome customers with a smile and friendly attitude.
• Review the menu, provide recommendations, and a superior customer experience.
• Utilize POS (point of sale) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Complete guest orders with attention to detail and accuracy
• Assist in the kitchen with prep, baking and clean-up.
• Take inventory counts and perform customer service tasks as asked by the Owner(s) or Manager(s)
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment behind the counter and in the dining area where applicable
• Follow opening/closing processes and maintain daily/weekly checklists
• Identify and recover guests who are dissatisfied with service and/or product
• Report to work as scheduled and fulfill requirements for duration of shift

Requirements:

• RELIABILITY AND EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a shift management position or management position in quick service food and beverage industry or hospitality
• Food Handlers Certificate required
• Has integrity, positive attitude & takes initiative.
• Is comfortable working on a team
• Works well under pressure and with a positive attitude
• Has excellent communication, organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently.
• Ability to multitask while paying special attention to detail and is meticulous.
• Previous experience using POS (point-of-sale) equipment
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs, including some weekends and holidays
• Has reliable transportation
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed

Physical Requirements:

• Near continuous walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds
• May be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures of coolers and freezers.
