The Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District (MMUUSD) is seeking elementary grade K-4 educators to join our Spanish Immersion program. We are looking for bilingual educators to bring passion for student learning, family involvement and curriculum design to our school community. It is essential that the educators for these positions have high levels of fluency in Spanish and English as well as a strong background in elementary education. We’re searching for educators who are risk takers, willing to grow with the program and excellent communicators with all stakeholders.

MMUUSD is the first district in the state of Vermont to have a language immersion program in our schools. Located at Jericho Elementary School and Richmond Elementary School, students from Bolton, Richmond, Jericho, and Underhill enroll as incoming Kindergarten students as part of our Spanish Immersion program.

Our programs run with the following levels of immersion:

In grades K -2, 100% of instruction occurs in Spanish. In grade 3, instruction occurs 80% in Spanish and 20% in English. As the students become increasingly bilingual, the instruction in the Spanish language decreases and instruction in English increases. (Grade 4 - 60% Spanish 40% English, Grade 5 - 50% Spanish 50% English).

Located halfway between Burlington and Montpelier, the Mount Mansfield Modified Union School District serves approximately 2400 K-12 students in the heart of eastern Chittenden County.
