Bookkeeper and Finances Assistant Job Description

CG Master Academy is looking for a bookkeeper to support our executive and finance team. The company headquarters are in Los Angeles, California but it is a remote position, additionally, some travel may be needed during the training period. You will have previous experience working in an office environment, performing administrative duties, and working with QuickBooks or Netsuite for general bookkeeping. The ideal person for the job will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. Your role will be to manage mostly business-related tasks for the team, such as assisting our finance department in processing clients' inquiries, preparing financial reports, and other organizational tasks. To do this role properly, you should have a detailed understanding of the Google Gsuite, be fast at solving problems and have experience as an executive or administrative assistant in the past with knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Desktop. A background check will be performed on top candidates.

Bookkeeping/Finance Responsibilities:

  • Handling bookkeeping (Accrual method a must), managing account Receivables, and Payables. Coordinate with an accountant as needed for preparing reports.
  • Assisting the finance department with processing payments
  • Process finance inbox inquiries such as:
  • Refunds and transfers
  • Failed transactions and Payment plan issue
  • invoice and enrollment letters for students as requested.
  • Keep digital instructors' files up to date with required compliance information (Tax forms, contracts, rates updates)
  • Preparing financial statements, reports, memos, invoices letters, and other documents.
  • Filing and retrieving corporate records, documents, and reports.
  • Using various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Provide general administrative support to local and international parent company headquarters.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with relevant administrative support experience.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, bilingual spanish/english is a plus but not required.
  • 3-5 years experience with Quickbooks Desktop and Online or Netsuite
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and other office productivity tools, with an aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities and must be able to meet deadlines
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
  • Must have customer service experience.
  • Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing emails, and other office related correspondence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
