Job Description

GEI Consultants is seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage our combined Boston Area offices (Woburn, MA and Franklin, MA). GEI s Boston Area offices include geotechnical, geostructural, environmental, water resources, and waterfront professionals. The two offices have a dynamic work environment and deliver exceptional service to our clients. The Boston team seamlessly partners with GEI professionals in our offices throughout North America. The successful candidate will be a proven industry leader with the skills needed to lead, manage, and grow a multi-disciplined operation.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide management, business development, technical, and financial leadership.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and initiative in planning, organizing, and guiding the activities of the Boston Area offices.
  • Achieve operational objectives for growth and overall performance.
  • Coordinate and leverage the Boston Area Leadership Team.
  • Lead, support, and manage the Boston Area Division Managers and their teams.
  • Provide strategic leadership on key pursuits and initiatives.
  • Programmatically maintain a high level of employee engagement in support of retention.
  • Drive recruiting efforts with a focus on key strategic hires, walk overs, acquisitions, and the establishment of complimentary services.
  • Coordinate with and provide support to other operations across GEI.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 to 20+ years of experience in the engineering and environmental consulting industry with at least 5 to 10+ years of direct role-related experience.
  • BS degree in engineering or aligned geosciences, an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Previous growth and profit & loss (P&L) responsibilities with proven results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage others to meet business objectives.
  • Strong relationships with existing and potential future clients and teaming partners.
  • Known industry leader locally and regionally.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others and to build strong relationships.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety.
