Qualifications/Capabilities:
- Be capable of maintaining expert status in all technical aspects of select rivet products and all associated competencies required to drive the sales of associated solutions successfully.
- Be capable of having an expert understanding of the Industrial Assembly Solutions sales strategy, processes, and tools. Build value-based marketing material to support our total sales effort and team.
- Be capable of performing an expert presentation and demonstrating all select rivet products/solutions based on sales strategy.
- Be capable of having a complete understanding of the sales team's roles and responsibilities.
- Be capable of communicating effectively with all levels of customers – Tech Center and plant.
- Be capable of effectively communicating and professionally working with all appropriate Atlas Copco resources in North America and Globally.
- Maintain expert status in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Roles and Responsibilities – Ongoing Activities:
- Motivate and inspire the Industrial Assembly Solutions sales teams to want to sell select rivet products.
- Survey Industrial Assembly Solutions sales team ongoing to determine and prioritize customers and opportunities based on potential revenue.
- Determine an annual "aggressive yet attainable" target for IAS rivet products in consideration of those identified opportunities.
- Create and execute an annual business plan focused on aggressive growth via maximizing hit rate and price.
- Initiate travel to the target customers with the respective salespeople to, 1) REFINE selling select rivet products via the established sales process and 2) TEACH the salespeople how to do the same.
- Establish and execute a plan on follow-up with Sales that maintains/increases momentum and course correction or drives course correction when/where necessary.
- Identify effective ways to customize the execution of the established sales strategy and process that are most effective for select rivet products.
- Determine all gaps in our hardware/software product offering, sales channel, market coverage, marketing/sales material, service/support strategy, etc.
- Lead the creation of business plans to remedy all gaps found.
- Understand all competitor offerings fully so we are clear on our unique selling points, advantages, and disadvantages vs. each competitor. Then, we can create a return on investment justification against them in selling situations.
- Develop, in conjunction with Innovation Center, "Best Practice" sales guides that detail how to sell select rivet products in general, by segment, and/or customer.
- Work with Innovation Center to ensure Sales has best-in-class competitive information and sales/marketing material.
- Provide Atlas Copco team with intelligence gained from customer visits/ interaction (Voice of the Customer, market costs, market pricing, R&D ideas, etc.).
- Provide input on customers' rivet Terms and Conditions to ensure they are in a win-win spirit.
Educational requirements/experience
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent military background); focus in business or engineering is a benefit, but not a requirement
- Background in industrial sales or manufacturing is a benefit but not a requirement
