Works as part of a team providing phone, in person and digital support to end-users on the University’s campus services systems including those supporting dining and housing services. The position will work with users to troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues as well as working with staff on system documentation, testing, training and implementation of various teaching and learning technologies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Addresses all support requests from end users either by phone, email or the University’s ticketing system
- Supports end users use of the University’s campus services including but not limited to, Dining systems with Transact.
- Works with University staff on testing, implementation, documentation of educational and instructional systems and other department projects
- Maintains, updates, and upgrades existing software and technologies as needed
- Participates in the evaluation and implementation of new applications.
- Evaluates and tests software packages to determine compatibility with existing systems, ease of use and maintenance, and suitability for user's overall needs and requirements.
- Develops project plans and manages software upgrades and new releases.
- Participates in on-going technological research.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree or related experience sufficient to enable the candidate to perform the duties of the position
Experience
- 3-5 years of related experience in software support and web applications, preferably in a higher education setting
- Proficiency using campus services technology tools (e.g. Transact, Starez, Lenel)
- Strong organization, time and project management skills
- Strength in problem solving hardware and software issues
- Ability to develop, edit and maintain websites
- Capable of reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals and legal regulations
- Adept at writing reporting, business correspondence and procedural manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, faculty and students
- Experience in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
