Retail Cashier

We are currently hiring Retail Cashiers to join the Checkout department in our Eugene store. Cashiers support Jerry's Value Mission of providing World Class Service to our customers by quickly and accurately ringing up customer purchases and ensuring they were able to find everything for their project needs.

The Job

• Actively step out and greet customers in the checkout line
• Verify customers were able to find what they need
• Provide solutions and alternatives, such as special orders, for products we don't currently have available
• Accurately scan product
• Ensure correct pricing and verify total amounts
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Courteous, Tactful, Diplomatic, Outgoing, and Friendly personality
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to scan accurately, efficiently, and to follow all Checkout procedures
• Able to deliver world-class customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to regularly lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30-55 lbs.
• Ability to use a personal computer, mobile phone and radio
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete

Schedule

• Flexible Part Time and Full Time positions available

• Schedule may vary and can include opening, closing, and weekend shifts

Compensation

• Pay-rate starting at $15.00/hr.
