CHANGE Manager

ADM is undergoing one of the most significant business evolutions/transformations in its 120-year history, impacting its organization, businesses, technology and culture. As part of this effort, the 1ADM Program is focused on implemented end to end business processes across the entire organization and implementing a global ERP system as the foundational technology for the entire company.

To support the critical transformation effort of ADM and the 1ADM Program, the Release Change Lead will partner with the Sr. Director Enterprise Change Management, 1ADM Program Team, Release Leadership, Regional Business Leadership, Regional HR, Regional communications to lead a complex, large-scale business transformation across multiple regions and businesses. The OCM Release Lead will play a key role in supporting ADM leaders, as we build the foundation for how we operate as one enterprise as part of 1ADM, our global ERP. This colleague will be accountable for overseeing the success of all OCM aspects of the release, including stakeholder engagement including leadership alignment, communications, learning, process change and workforce alignment, and will partner with program and business team members to support leaders as we drive a successful 1ADM implementation.

The day-to-day work will focus on specific plans to ensure ADM colleagues across multiple regions understand and successfully adapt to changes in systems, policies, processes and technologies.

The successful candidate will excel at developing and executing — with minimal support — well-structured change management plan spanning multiple components (learning, communications, organization alignment, process). This individual will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, collaborative instincts and a strong executive presence. And, he or she will be expert at turning often highly complex and detailed information into a clearly defined change journey for impacted stakeholder groups.

This position will be an individual contributor, however will be leading a team of change management professionals that will be both ADM and contractors and lead by influence. There will also be the opportunity to expand change management scope of work outside of 1ADM and responsibilities including the potential to have direct reports in the future.
  • Apprise Enterprise 1ADM OCM leadership of Release OCM-related decisions, issues, risks and drive mitigation for cross-workstream risks and escalations.
  • Accountable for Release OCM staffing, resourcing and scoping needs.
  • Provide Release OCM updates to program leadership.
  • Work closely with Sr. Director Enterprise Change Management, 1ADM Transformation program leaders, global business Leadership, HR, corporate communications to define and maintain the Release OCM strategy, approach and plan for 1ADM's SAP S4 HANA implementation for the scope of the specific release.
  • Ensure Release OCM plans align with strategies and methodologies laid out by the Enterprise OCM team and highlight where adjustments are needed for the release and collaborate with the Business Enablement Team, regional HR, regional communications to define and maintain the change management approach and plan for the defined implementation in the defined region.
  • Drive collaboration and coordination among the Business Enablement Team and with the Enterprise Change Management Team.
  • Drive the execution of the change management activities across multiple regions and businesses.
  • Drive collaboration and coordination among the Release OCM sub-workstream teams. OCM team is responsible for Communications and Engagement, Process Change, Learning and Workforce Alignment.
  • Driving cross-OCM workstream initiatives (e.g. E2E Deep Dives, process change and communications) and ad-hoc OCM initiatives.
  • Drive and outcome-based approach.
  • Engage with Release teams (solution delivery, technology, deployment, etc.) and share key Release project updates and impacts with Release OCM sub-workstream teams.
  • Actively engage and coach with key global stakeholder groups (super users, change champions, managers/supervisors, business and functional leaders)
  • Identify and apprise Enterprise Change Management Team of decisions, issues, risks, and drive mitigation and issue escalation as part of the Business Enablement Team.
  • Provide relevant updates to 1ADM Program Leadership
Qualifications, core skills and experience:
  • 8+ years’ experience leading and practicing change management methodologies in support of large-scale projects (people, process, technology)
  • 8+ years’ experience in leading complex, large-scale business transformations with an emphasis in working with executives.
  • Proven success in leadership engagement, coaching and influence in a complex organization with diverse businesses, geographies and cultures.
  • Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in a dynamic problem-solving environment.
  • Ability to navigate between strategy and execution, developing high-level strategic plans and producing simple, clear tactical plans that are regional relevant and accounts for site nuances.
  • Excellent communication, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on a diversified / global team that includes cross-divisional internal resources as well as external resources.
  • Self-starter, independently motivated, handles changing priorities, strong oral, written, verbal and formal presentation skills
  • Lead multiple projects/tasks with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities, a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines with ease and maturity.
  • Strong attention to detail and execution excellence with a highly collaborative mindset to drive shared results.
  • High degree of comfort operating effectively in a complex, matrixed and metric-driven environment.
  • English language fluency required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Organization Development/Psychology or Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
