Open a new chapter of inspired care as a Clinical Coordinator for the Florida Surgical Center at UF Health Shands Hospital, a nationally recognized, 1,162-bed academic medical center located in beautiful Gainesville, Florida.

We are actively seeking qualified nursing candidates to serve in this full-time coordinator role supporting the Nurse Manager with clinical and administrative duties within an advanced, multispecialty surgical center. This role will allow you to:

· Provide nursing care and clinical leadership to help achieve organizational goals while contributing to our patient-centered care culture.

· Oversee daily staffing and follow up on unit-based issues related to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs based on quality benchmarking, patient acuity /care trends, staff clinical education and patient satisfaction.

· Provide leadership to ensure excellence in nursing research, education and practice.

· Work with the Nurse Manager to provide staff development and performance evaluations.

· Collaborate with Nursing Coordinators to facilitate throughout the department.

· Represent the Nurse Manager/Director when needed.

Successful candidates should have an MSN and current Florida RN license. Applicants currently pursuing their MSN will be considered. Applicants must have at least two years of nursing experience in a surgical setting. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, application of evidence-based practice and accountable nursing practices, practical nursing knowledge and the ability to work well within a multispecialty team environment to achieve exceptional patient care outcomes. All applicants should have their national nursing certification or be able to obtain the certification within six months of hire.
