We invite you to join our expanding clinical research department in the Hartford Hospital Dept. of Anesthesiology. This is a full-time position working directly with the Hartford County Division of Integrated Anesthesia Associates in Hartford Connecticut. In this role, you will serve as an integral part of the research department and interact with physician investigators and research team members that consists of clinical research staff, attending anesthesiologists, fellows, residents, student nurse anesthetists, research interns, and administrators. We are seeking motivated individuals who desire a fulfilling position in an active clinical research department and is interested in professional growth. There is potential for advancement within the field depending on abilities and motivation.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with drafting Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, manuscripts, posters, and any materials dedicated for publication
• Help create data visualizations (graphs, charts, tables, etc.) for publications, presentations, etc.
• Carry out publication submissions
• Draft grant proposals
• Assist with the successful conduct of ongoing and future research projects
• Assist with IRB communication and application
• Help with data collection and data entry for statistical analyses
• Help coordinate statistical analysis
• Help coordinate IAA Research Internship Program

• Manage incoming and outgoing volunteers
• Interview and help choose volunteer applicants each seasonal session (approximately 5 applicants per session & 4 sessions per year)
• Supervise and guide current volunteers: assign projects, teach medical writing, coordinate live training and clinical experiences

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

• Log clinical characteristics, registry information, and qualitative/quantitative patient survey data
• Regularly create reports of quality metrics for the clinical team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
