Job Description


This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2023. Resume review begins in January 2023.

Technical Product Complaints (TPC) is part of the Commercial Quality department and is responsible for reporting, investigating, and solving deficiencies related to labeling, strength, purity, stability, durability, reliability, effectiveness, performance, or quality of a Biogen product, or a possible failure of the product to meet any of its specifications. The overall goal is to ensure patient safety and improve product quality.

Position Description

The Co-Op aims to support TPC core activities and post-production data activities related to European Union Medical Device Regulation and/or Known issue characterization. The following are tasks to be completed:

  • Train on applicable procedures and maintain current training
  • Learn about TPC and other adjacent groups
  • Perform gap assessments on post-production activities
  • Collaborate with internal and cross functional stakeholders
  • Address issues identified in the gap assessments
  • Document and implement into TPC procedures and processes

Qualifications


The ideal candidate should be:

  • Eager to learn and be open to collaborate with TPC group members and the broader cross functional groups
  • Technologically savvy with some level of understanding about Biopharmaceutical industry
  • Preferably have knowledge of industry specific quality & regulatory requirements
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently as well as part of team
  • Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and drive processes
  • Strong multi-tasking, problem solving skills and necessary persistence to work around “road blocks”
  • Microsoft Suite experience with an emphasis on Excel to manage large amount of data quickly and efficiently
  • Programming abilities is a plus

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Education

Pursuing Bachelor or Master in Life Science, Computer Science or related areas.
