We have an opening for a Technician at our customer location in Carlsbad, CA. The primary function of this position will be to set up / configure and upgrade laptop and desktop computers.

This is an on-site temporary job opening that is expected to last about 6-8 weeks. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8a -5p.

Please note: U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities for this position may include:

• Computer Imaging (Windows 11 OS, Core apps, Antivirus, etc.)
• Software Installation
• Managing the defined schedule and troubleshooting unforeseen technical issues.
• Escalating any technical issues that arise i.e., SCCM outages, or network issues.
• Unpacking and setting up PCs (laptops and desktops) to initiate the configuration process.
• Examining materials received from Shipping and receiving, verifying part numbers, and checking discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Project coordination efforts between teams to facilitate better support for users.
• Movement of computers from staging area and shipping to user locations.
• Performing post-imaging tasks such as renaming and joining the system to a domain.
• Mapping printers and installing Print drivers and/or other drives as necessary.
• Reporting of computer assets and locations (depot, Transit, user site)
• Communication with end users to outline scheduling.
• Troubleshooting and repairing laptops and desktops that are not operational upon receipt.

Requirements:

• 4-6 yrs. technical experience with refreshing Windows PCs in an enterprise environment
• Must be familiar with Windows 10 OS including drive mapping, printer setup, and driver installation
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Working experience with Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Familiar with SCCM
• Ability to troubleshoot any unforeseen technical issues
• Excellent Communication
• US Citizenship
