Configuration Control Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced Configuration Control Coordinator to join our growing team in the Portland area. This Configuration Control Coordinator creates and maintains the Engineering Bill of Materials from released drawings, ensures configuration control, and assists Certification in the planning and tracking of FAA conformity activities. Aviation experience is a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert for coordination of all released engineering data and responsible for the translation of this data into usable procurement and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain the engineering BOM (Bill of Materials) from released engineering.
- Review drawing revisions for BOM and manufacturing changes. Ensure configuration control of released engineering and work to resolve any conflicts.
- Create, check, and/or revise drawing lists for released engineering.
- Enter FAA requests for conformity in accordance with released engineering and production timing.
- Maintain tracking log for FAA conformity completions. Review completed FAA conformity paperwork and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prioritize work and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Certification groups to achieve program efficiencies, meet established deadlines, and minimize operational impacts.
- Cross-train with Document Control and be able and willing to fill in or take on some document control functions.
- Identify relevant trends and improvement opportunities, then develop and coordinate corrective actions.
- Perform all other duties assigned by Manager.
JOB SKILLS
- Five (5) years of experience in an engineering data control role.
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, with the ability to work independently.
- Must have specific knowledge of engineering workflows, configuration control, and change management.
- Must have ability to track and document engineering changes accurately in a timely manner.
- Must demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- College degree or equivalent work experience required.
