Description
Summary The Calibration Coordinator is responsible scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and issuance of precision tooling, test equipment, measuring tools, and calibrated tools to ensure they are properly maintained, periodically inspected, and calibrated at the recommended intervals. Monitor and control calibrated tools, special equipment, and equivalent tools produced according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or AAR Airlift specifications and drawings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities -Keep the inventory storage areas and other storage facilities clean and organized. -Store, tag, identify and provide the necessary environmental and physical protection for all of the companys inventory assets. -Segregate serviceable and unserviceable tools per company policies. -Ensure the companys calibrated tools and precision measuring equipment are tracked and calibrated on schedule. -Create repair orders for tools that have exceeded their calibration due date as well as tools need repaired. -Coordinate with the Purchasing department on the ordering of replacement tools and new tools requirements. -Work closely with the Quality department to ensure that proper documentation is maintained with parts and tools. -Perform and document monthly calibrated due date inspections. -Retain and file all purchase and repair order as well as tool traceability forms. -Assemble tool kits for OCOUNS site for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. -Participate as needed in the Quality and Safety Audit program. -Issue and transfer all tool to maintenance bases and update computerized inventory records. -Keep accurate records of parts, tools and equipment issued to maintenance in order to maintain inventory integrate. -Assist Warehouse Supervisor in conducting cyclic and wall to wall inventories in accordance with set procedures. -Coordinate shipment requirements with the Material Transportation Coordinator for tools needing returned from all OCONUS sites. -Ensure all Beyond Economical Repair (BER) items are removed from stock and determine if stock levels warrant a replacement purchase. -Oversee tool movements initiated to satisfy an AOG situation, Deferred Maintenance Item resolution, or other situation which requires expediting. -Maintain metrics monitoring accountability of tools, flow of materials, and Inventory levels to support aircraft maintenance. -Follow AAR Corp. safety policies and procedures. -Perform other duties as assigned or required. Education Required: -High School diploma or GED. -Five (5) years of previous supply/logistics experience. Preferred -Associates degree from an accredited university or college. -6K - 10K Forklift Operator. Skills & Experience Required Professional who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete task of moderate scope and complexity; exercises judgement within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. Able to acquire a company issued forklift license. Preferred: -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). -Experience with Win Air/Trax software.
