Customer Service Lead / Driver / Lugger (mover) Job at Junkluggers of Portland & Beaverton
Full-time or Part-time available. Schedule negotiable. Some weekend work required. You MUST BE 25 years of age - this is a driving position and our insurance company requires it.
A good job is more than the work - it’s about why you’re doing it, the people you work with and who you work for.
The Portland and Beaverton Junkluggers franchise is small and locally owned by a hard-working team with decades of business and leadership experience. We foster mutual respect, open communication and an equitable business model. We’re looking for motivated team members to not just work FOR us, but to work WITH us.
The Junkluggers is an eco-friendly junk removal company committed to providing an elevated customer experience and bettering the environment and communities we serve. Our Mission is to Enhance Lives, Our Community, and the Environment by Donating, Recycling, and Supporting Local Charities.
We are growing and within a few months you can work up to a manager role, warehouse or operations lead, business development, and/or other roles as they come available. You may earn potential tips, overtime and monthly performance bonuses. We want to empower you and grow and succeed together - it’s up to YOU what you make of it. If you're interested, you can be trained in business and management skills and mentored in leadership.
Wondering if you're qualified? If you can lift things, drive, and talk to people - you’re qualified. We can train you to do the rest! For our driving positions our insurance company requires you to be 25 years of age.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
This is partly a Logistics and Driving job. You will be in charge of your truck and several customer jobs each day. You’ll review and plan your day’s route and stock your truck. This is partly a Supervisor job. You’ll help supervise and lead one or two “luggers” who will join you on the truck as you travel around the Portland and Beaverton area.
This is partly a Customer Interaction/Quoting/Sales job. Once at the customer’s location, you will speak directly with the customer and use our App to help quote the work to be done. You’ll use your decision making ability to fairly assign the price to the job in agreement with the customer.
This is partly a physical, Moving job. You, along with your crew, will load up your truck, carefully moving items with respect to earn well-deserved tips.
This is partly an independent, Decision Making job. Based on the day, you may travel to a donation center, recycling center or transfer station to offload your truck. The decisions about what items go where and when is largely up to you (we’ll train you!).
This is partly a Customer Service job. You may call or ask one of your crew to reach out to customers to give them updates on your estimated arrival. Customer Satisfaction is key - so you must be kind, empathetic and respectful.
This is partly a Leader job. At the end of the day you’ll return to our warehouse, clean up your truck, offload any items, help tidy the warehouse and debrief with the Owner or Operations manager to hear about your day and how we can best support you and empower your work.
