The Payroll Specialist position is an exciting role that works directly with our field locations to answer all of their payroll related questions.

The Payroll Specialist position is an exciting opportunity for any individual who aspires to progress in a Payroll career. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ year’s payroll experience but that is not required! A personable and friendly attitude along with excellent communication, customer service and multi-tasking skills are essential.

What You’ll Do:As someone with a couple of years of payroll experience behind you, you’ll come in prepared with a basic understanding of payroll functions and jargon. This experience coupled with some UKG Pro (UltiPro and/or Dimensions) experience, sets you up perfectly to succeed in this role and in helping our field locations.Specifically, you will:
- Find solutions to payroll questions - that may require further research
- Process payroll for both salary and hourly employees
- Communicate with field locations via phone calls and emails
- Provide top-notch support to payroll and business leaders
- Payroll experience is a plus
- UKG/Ultimate Software/UKG Pro/Dimensions HRIS System Software experience a PLUS
- Solid understanding of payroll functions and jargon such as multi-state taxes, deductions, withholdings, etc.
- Know the appropriate sources to get payroll and tax related information
- Impeccable attention to detail (accuracy & completeness) {we mean this!}
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal, and written communication
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously (multitasking)
- Intermediate experience with Excel (think pivot tables, lookups and expressions)
- Skilled in working in a team environment
- Ability to think analytically when solving problems
- Ability to learn new software
- Impeccable attention to detail (accuracy & completeness)
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal, and written communication
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously (multitasking)
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software
- Solid understanding of payroll functions and jargon such as multi-state taxes, deductions, withholdings, etc.
- Knowledge of software including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, etc., and intermediate level general computer skills

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have FCP (Fundamental Payroll Certification) designation or be willing to get it within first 24 months of employment
- Payroll experience a plus.
- UKG Pro (UltiPro and/or UKG Dimensions) experience
