CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

Navico Group is a stand-alone division of Brunswick, the world’s largest recreational marine business. We are seeking a passionate and customer focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team.

This vital position will act as a key contact and liaison for customers to ensure their total satisfaction. The Customer Service Specialist will interact with customers on an ongoing basis and responsible for entering orders, handling customer requests, and providing information such as pricing, scheduling, and shipment and delivery data in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. This position reports to the Customer Service Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process/Input customer orders with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, reviews department reporting to ensure orders are being shipped and billed in a timely manner
  • Release all orders timely and properly with all required details
  • Track order fulfillment progress and proactively communicate exceptions to customer and management
  • Provide product and pricing availability to customers
  • Maintain and update customer portals/dashboards with order status
  • Answers customer service phone calls, addresses all inquiries
  • Ability to work and achieve established results with limited supervision
  • Resolve customer complaints, while continually develop relationships and rapport
  • Collaborate with internal functional areas on order confirmation, expedites, escalations and other issues, ensuring proactive, consistent, and timely communication to the customer.
  • Participate and/or lead scheduled customer order status updates as required.
  • Identifies solutions to increase efficiencies within departmental functions
  • Other key responsibilities and tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years customer service experience

Skill Requirements:

  • Proficient in Excel & Word skills required
  • Oracle or equivalent sales order processing systems experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with internal & external customers
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
