Overview:
DOCS Health is seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant for multiple County Correctional Facilities in the greater Knoxville, TN area. Candidates will work in tandem with a Dentist to provide on-site dental care in a controlled, safe corrections environment. This is an incredible opportunity to earn supplemental income, gain valuable experience in a public health setting, and make a difference in the health outcomes for incarcerated individuals.

Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and breakdown of room.
  • Sterilization of all equipment.
  • Take/process x-rays.
  • Assist in 4-handed dentistry.
  • Work with portable/mobile equipment.
Schedule:
Hours: 7:30AM to 3:30PM
Days: Every Saturday and Sunday
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Dental Assistant Program or on the job training
  • One (1) year or more dental assisting experience - preferred
  • Active x-Ray Certification
  • CPR/BLS
  • Valid Driver License
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
