Job Description:
The Dental Assistant functions as a clinical support partner to assist the patient care team by performing various tasks in a surgical or clinic setting as instructed by a licensed professional. ScopeAs a Dental Assistant you need to know how to:
Work collaboratively as a team member to ensure the dental clinic operates efficiently.
Provide friendly and courteous communication with patients; prepare the patient for dental treatment.
Efficiently assist with sterilization, performing dental x-rays, and preparing for dental procedures.
Effectively provide chair side assistance with all aspects of dental care to include, but not limited to: restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and orthodontia.
Accurately document patient treatment.
Effectively communicate with fellow team members.
May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required- Experience working in a safety net dental clinic or public health agency, preferred- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, preferred
