Position Title: Dietary Aide:

Position Title: Dietary Aide; Shifts: 5:00 AM-1:30 PM

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to assist with meal preparation, dining room assistance, dishwashing, and cleaning of kitchen. Assists in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to the residents/patients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals according to Dietary department instructions/process.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Operate cookware, bakeware, and cooking appliances.
• Report dietary issues and concerns to the Dietary Director for resolution.

Qualifications:

• One (1) to Three (3) years of dietary experience preferred.
• High degree of professionalism and strong work ethic.
• Organizational, follow-through and communications skills.
• Must be dependable, proactive, and prompt.
• Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and stay focused on the big picture

Education:

• High school diploma required. Healthcare experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

• Must possess a general appreciation of seniors and an understanding of the aging process, as well as be aware of its challenges. The maintenance and promotion of a good working relationship between staff, families and residents is essential.
• Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service and hospitality towards and among all residents, employees, visitors, and the community.
