The Digital Strategy Specialist supports the Firm’s growing need to develop and publish a mix of visual assets and copy across digital platforms. This position guides the firm in leveraging social media (with an emphasis on LinkedIn) and the Firm’s website to increase brand awareness, generate new business opportunities, and deepen client engagement. A hybrid work schedule is available for this position.

- Collaboratively manage the Firm’s social media program with the Director, Digital Strategy. Publish content, monitor conversations, and manage digital communities.
- Identify new opportunities for digital activation that support business development and lead generation.
- Serve as a social media advisor to attorneys. Provide content recommendations – from profile updates to post ideas – that enhance their digital presence.
- Develop integrated digital marketing campaigns that drive engagement in the form of increased online conversation and traffic to the Firm’s website.
- Identify emerging conversation trends and potential reputation management issues that may impact the firm and/or attorneys.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop image, audio (podcast), and video content for use across digital channels.
- With a pulse on emerging trends, test and optimize new content and campaign ideas that generate increased brand reach.
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar as well as content that adheres to brand standards and editorial and content guidelines.
- Work with the marketing team to oversee all phases of event marketing, including promoting event registration, live-tweeting events, and using recap videos and/or event summaries to continue conversation post-event.
- Oversee the content creation process on the article, video, and podcast section of the Firm’s website. Provide content creators with SEO recommendations and work with the web team to publish content to the website.
- Develop and implement targeted paid media campaigns (e.g., Google, LinkedIn) that increase awareness and engagement among key audiences.
- Measure results across the full range of digital vehicles to drive growth and make recommendations based on results.
- Conduct competitive intelligence to monitor the use of social and digital media.
- Perform digital monitoring during east coast business hours and coordinate with the digital team to ensure after-hours (including weekends) and emergency/issue response coverage as needed.

Job Requirements:
- 5-8 years of social media experience including planning and managing content, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred. Work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Ability to write clear and compelling content appropriate for digital platforms (LinkedIn and web articles).
- Experience using publishing, reporting, and listening tools similar to Sprout, HootSuite, Brandwatch, Google Analytics, etc.
- Familiar with web CMS platforms to create and publish website content.
- Experience creating and implementing paid media campaigns on Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram.
- Familiar with podcast or video production process, including recording and editing.
- Ability to project manage cross-functional teams in the development of social media content.
In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows: NYC: $79,439 to $115,264
In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range is Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
