Reporting to the Vice President, DC Program Region, the Director, Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT), will have overall operational responsibility for the MAT program, its expansion and execution of mission. This role will develop deep knowledge of MAT program, integrated care, program operations, and community referral sources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Management:
- Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, communications, and systems.
- Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the program goals
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain program clinical and support staff
- Develop systems to provide quality services and ensure programs meet all expected outcomes and contract/licensing/accreditation requirements.
- Provide regular, scheduled feedback/supervision with employees/teams.
- Communicate regularly and proactively with employees, supervisor, administrative departments and stakeholders.
- Relay necessary and important information. Build professional working relationships.
- Provide trainings and professional development opportunities on a regular basis.
- Ensure team is actively participating with stakeholders and community partners.
- Provide teambuilding opportunities and events for employees.
- Recognize and celebrate employees regularly.
- Set reasonable, but high expectations and hold teams accountable.

- Represent the organization well by participating actively in the community and with stakeholders, as an expert in the field.
- Ensures that all case notes meets quality standards.
- Ensures that all VOACC policies and procedures are met and remain in compliance.

- The ability to safely operate a motor vehicle to transport oneself, consumers, and program supplies as necessary.
- The physical ability to travel to assigned locations, stand, stoop, bend, reach, pull, push, lift, grasp, climb, talk, see, hear and perform basic and light home maintenance activities, and operate office equipment.
- Operating office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive hand/arm movements.
- The ability to remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Masters Degree required with clinical certification in DC as either an LICSW or an LPC. Will also consider a nurse practitioner (APRN, RN).
- At least five years of professional experience in a management role, ideally in a Human Services setting with an active Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, SUD Services and/or Behavioral Health wrap-around.
- Track record of effectively leading a performance and outcomes-based program and staff.
- Ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken a program to the next stage of growth
- Deepen and refine all aspects of communications with the goal of creating a strong presence in SUD treatment community
- Experience with Foothold/Awards and/or electronic medical records preferred.
- Excellent administrative and clinical review ability regarding clinical case notes, and clinical supervision of direct staff.
- Persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skill
- Demonstrate solid leadership skills that develop strong teams:
- Experience in computer skills Microsoft Office Suites.
- Ability to use independent judgment and address conflict and find resolutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual in any language a plus.
