POSITION SUMMARY:

This role reports to the VP, Corporate Controller. Will be responsible for the leadership, strategy, and execution of Accounting Operations. An effective leader facilitating and managing system integrations. Works effectively with senior management and cross-functionality to drive various corporate strategies and business objectives. Has a proven track record assembling and developing effective teams and improving team engagement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) team and provide hands-on management and oversight of A/R and A/P, including related accounting.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining effective policies and procedures that reflect strong internal controls.
  • Oversee proper and accurate classification of transactions across the balance sheet and income statement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to create efficient and effective processes and procedures for the accounting function.
  • Develop and report key operational metrics indicating the health of the finance operations.
  • Develop reporting KPIs, including operational and financial metrics.
  • Develop unified desktop procedures across the organization to enable better training across the organization.
  • Provide critical input to the VP, Corporate Controller, and other members of senior management regarding the operational performance of the team, including recommendations for action and collaboratively developing operating policies and procedures to enable the attainment of corporate and business objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of month-end G/L close process.
  • Review month-end journal entries, supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Review financial statement information to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Review audit schedules for on-going compliance audits and year-end financial audits.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years of Finance and Accounting experience (Public & Private).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to work in a universal environment.
  • Strong Excel and data processing skills.
  • Experience in operational process improvement, preferred.
  • Graduated with a relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business/Accounting/Finance.

What’s the expected pay for this role?

  • $150,000 - $200,000 per year
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
