Director Of Operations

FROG Fulfillment, LLC., a progressive, growth-oriented fulfillment service provider, seeks an experienced and ambitious Director of Operations interested in an exciting opportunity. The Director of Operations will provide day-to-day operational oversight of our Lewisville, TX order fulfillment facility and lead the development of our NJ facility.

In conjunction with the executive management team, this individual will assist with improving operating results by developing core competencies and capabilities, identifying opportunities for sustained organic client growth, initiating cost reduction measures, enhancing service levels, implementing best practices and a performance monitoring system.

The successful candidate will be afforded the exciting opportunity of playing an integral role in the continued, fast paced, development of FROG’s multi-site fulfillment business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all business processes and staff for both the TX and NJ fulfillment operation.
  • Oversee all fulfillment services including receiving, order processing, shipping, inventory control, value added services, maintenance, safety and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Apply an entrepreneurial approach and methodology which includes resourcefulness, creativeness, and a long-term vision for growth and profitability.
  • Utilize the WMS to meet company objectives and facilitate the maximization of operating efficiencies.
  • Implement operational policies, procedures, and objectives. Develop SOPs for all operational processes.
  • Develop team, mentor, and coach all direct staff. Develop organizational capacity and build future leaders for the organization.
  • Establish and monitor KPI’s for warehouse functions.
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue / profit and ensuring that the service offerings are compatible with operating capabilities and develop plans to increase operational capabilities if necessary.
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Partner with the executive leadership to develop strategic initiatives.
  • Explore opportunities for ongoing growth and additional revenue streams.
  • Establish key vendor relationships and perform initial contract negotiations. (Freight carriers, temp staffing firms, material handling equipment providers, packaging suppliers, waste disposal)
  • Ensure that procedures are in place for a clean and safe work environment.
  • Direct programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property.
  • Partner with business development team on client prospect calls & negotiations. Lead new client on-boarding process.
  • Participate in the development of pricing proposals and service offerings to client prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Education (preferred level): BA/BS in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years as operations manager, 3PL and/or warehouse experience is a MUST.
  • Extensive software-based warehouse/logistics/operations experience.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning. Must be able to give and receive innovative, creative, and helpful feedback for team growth and productivity.
