We are seeking a
Driver to support our transportation needs for our senior living community to and from outings. The Driver will require general knowledge of vehicle operation and servicing and display ability and interest in working with participants/residents who are elderly and/or handicapped.
This position includes;
- On call/casual positon
- Shift length is 8 hours

- Accomplishes transportation duties promptly
- Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period
- Organizes work assignments
- Provides coordinator or supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties.
- Follows policies and procedures of Martin Luther Campus and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Can function effectively with limited direct supervision
- Cooperates in changing schedules to meet the needs of participants/residents.
- Responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers
- Practices sound and safe judgment when performing transportation services
- Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards, incidents, and emergencies
- Extra duties as assigned
- Communicates with the coordinator/supervisor about needed equipment, supplies, and potential repairs
- One to three years previous driving experience, preferrably with seniors and/or physically challenged population.
- Ability to drive a 14 passenger bus.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and criminal/driving background check.
