Erosion Control Foreman Job at ASN Constructors
ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who will work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River. The Erosion Control Foreman is responsible for managing on-site erosion control plans and tasks while leading crew members in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure efficient deployment and productivity of work crews.
- Ensure and enforce compliance with all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections and complete follow-up activities.
- Ensures environmental regulations are adhered to on project.
- Ensures corrective actions are taken in a timely manner when eroded areas are identified.
- Ensures temporary erosion control devices are installed and removed correctly and to the approval of regulations.
- Knowledgeable regarding erosion control in all aspects of construction process.
- Performs inspections and reports on erosion control needs and status of previously installed devices.
- Provide maintenance to all eroded areas and previously installed erosion control devices immediately following rain on the project.
- Ensure mid-term and long-term plans are carried through to short-term plans and executed.
- Develop and implement dewatering plan, systems, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with permitting requirements for continuous operation.
- Assist in determining equipment specifications for upcoming projects.
- Direct, mentor, coach and upskill the erosion control crew in their roles.
- Participate in the review and improvement of dewatering and cost performance.
- Control expenditures and cost production by minimizing equipment downtime through properly executed preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.
- Report all incidents and hazards to the Supervisor and the Safety department .
Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in an erosion control supervisory capacity preferred and at least 3 years of heavy equipment operation or equivalent combination.
- Heavy/Civil experience required.
- Experience with overburden, mining or road construction is strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required
