Just Trux is looking for a full-time diesel mechanic who is skilled in diagnosis and repair of simple and complex automotive issues and able to perform routine maintenance tasks for our fleet of tractor trailers and straight trucks. Must have at least 1 year experience. Class A or B CDL license a plus, but NOT required. Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and determine parts required for repair of units
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment
• Road test vehicles when necessary
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important mechanisms
• Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment
• Raise trucks, heavy parts, or equipment using hydraulic jacks
• Examine and adjust protective guards & loose bolts
• Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting, repair and diagnosis of diesel engines, power train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTO's and wheel ends, electrical systems including starters, alternators, ECM's, ECU's, and sensors etc., HVAC systems and steering systems. Engine bolt on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc., Brake systems including ABS, Suspension systems (spring and air)
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools required
• A valid driver's license is required
• Current CDL license with air brake certification preferred or willingness to acquire CDL if you do not have one
• Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Willingness to travel as necessary (pick up parts, drop of cores, shuttle trucks and road service calls) & work the required schedule
