Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced survey technician.
Responsibilities:
This position will work mostly independently and will conduct surveys throughout North Dakota. Responsibilities include planning and organizing surveys; operating various survey equipment; performing courthouse research; performing calculations and preparing reports in support of surveys; and recording field data.
This position requires heavy lifting and working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid driver’s license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following:
- An associate degree or higher in land surveying or related field;
- At least three years of relevant experience;
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
- Survey equipment such as data collectors, robotic total stations and GPS devices
- Construction staking
- Conducting topographic surveys
- Civil 3D
