FABRICATOR - Plasma Operator -

Truck Bodies &Equipment International (TBEI), a Minnesota based company, encompasses five leading manufacturers of dump truck bodies, hoists, and truck and trailer equipment. Due to increased business, the Lake Crystal, MN location is rapidly growing and needs to hire skilled talent in a variety of departments to support the increase in customer orders.

$2500 Retention Bonus

Hours:

1st shift: 5:45AM-4:15PM - Monday through Thursday with overtime as needed on Friday

2nd shift: 4:15PM-2:45AM - Mondays through Thursdays with overtime as needed on Friday

Job Summary: This position uses fabrication equipment to make parts for the dump truck body welding areas.

• Setting up and operating machines that will cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into parts that will be used in the assembly process
• Assisting with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment and offering suggestions for improvements, etc.
• Moving materials between work centers as needed
• Equipment includes operating a Laser and cross training in other fabrication equipment, like CNC, Plasma, Saw, and/or Brake Presses.
• Candidate must be able to read a tape measure and learn to read the blue prints to ensure quality parts are made for internal customers.
• In this role, you will use a computer to view work procedures, (blue) prints, due dates, and special instructions.
• Qualified candidates need to be proficient in reading a tape measure, are comfortable learning & using an overhead lifting device and are able to perform basic math functions.
• Fabrication experience preferred.

Job Requirements:

1. Must have basic math knowledge to set up and operate machines accurately.

2. Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through physical exertion or overhead hoist, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending.

3. Ability to read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and complicated instructions, blueprints, measuring devices, and perform basic computer data entry.

4. Ability to stand and work in various positions on concrete for several hours at a time.

5. Must be a team player working with co-workers, other departments and/or other TBEI facilities. The focus is on meeting company goals and initiatives.

6. Ability to learn operations of multiple machines/jigs within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet job schedule, team needs or to meet any safety recommendations.

7. Must work at a reasonable pace and within our quality standards to insure timely completion of tasks and must work overtime as required to meet customer needs.

8. Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures, including: wearing PPE.

9. Must have held employment for a minimum of one consecutive year to be considered for employment with TBEI.
