Mako Fabrication is a metal fabricator West End in Atlanta, GA on the beltline. We are creative, innovative, collaborative and our goal is to provide leading custom metal fabrication services for commercial interior designers. The fabrication services we do are considered "one off" projects as most everything we do is one of a kind. If you like a continual changing array of items to build that gives you a challenge, we are the place for you. If you prefer to do the same thing over and over, we are not the right fit for you.

We are looking for team members in a full-time position, but understand and support that family comes first. Our working hours are flexible around your needs, understanding that we need you to help fabricate on a full-time basis over each week. The atmosphere at our shop (yes, it's heated) is low key, supportive, and family oriented.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Building custom metal items from plans and/or sketches (many items you would see inside high end resturants)
• Be able to figure out the best way to build something using the toolset we have available to us
• Must be able to self-manage yourself to complete a job. If you can't do this, we will quickly see
• Be able to operate the tools listed under skills with the ability to learn others tools we have (not all tools listed).
• Actively engage in safety of yourself and others in the workshop

Skills Needed:

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/32 of an inch
• Must have a basic knowledge of geometry (circumference, angles, etc.)
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
• Knowledge of how to use: TIG welder, drill press, horizontal bandsaw, angle ginder, slip roller, belt grinder, Hossfeld bender a plus.
• We work with steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum and should have experience in welding/brazing each. We also work with zinc, but do not weld it.
• We finish many of our projects (steel blackner, rusting, clear coat, painting, high polish finish, etc.) so knowledge of this is a plus, but not necessary

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
