Field Service Representative to provide field level engineering support and direction to produce military ground vehicle turret systems.
Here's what you'll be working on day to day:
Under the general supervision of the Field Services Manager, conducts Engineering Tests; prepares Assembly/Test documentation; instructs and assists Assembly and Test Foremen and Technicians in methods, use of equipment and instrumentation, and test failure diagnosis and rework; monitors product producibility thru the Assembly/Test phase; and maintains technical interface between Moog and the customer on assigned production programs.
- Learn/understand the design, theory of operation, key performance characteristics, specification requirements, performance margins, and test methodology of deliverable product.
- Learn/understand the assembly and test processes, parts, tools, and equipment.
- Respond quickly to depot issues.
- Maintain visual work instructions, routing, and travel cards with appropriate level of detail.
- Optimize assembly & test yield and cost through process and design improvements.
Here’s the skills and abilities you will need to bring with you:
- Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years experience in the production/design/development/test of complex assemblies and 2+ years of experience as an Assembly/Test Technician
- Interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels within Moog and at the customer/vendor level
- Motivation and willingness to drive and support continuous improvement activities
- Experience with Paperless Factory Floor Systems is preferred
- Ability to simultaneously support and complete a large and varied list of tasks
- Ability to access US export-controlled documentation
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
