Duties
As a member of the Strategic Research and Intelligence Unit, Research Analysts will work closely with CHIPS Investment office leadership, CHIPS strategy and policy team members, and core deal teams to support merit review and due diligence, track overall program success, and drive specific insights into overall market trends to inform decision-making. Specific duties will include:
- Tracking / synthesizing capital market trends / data using available sources
- Tracking / synthesizing company level financial info
- Conducting ad hoc market / company analyses
- Working with deal teams / leadership to tie trends to data and analytical needs
- Analyzing simple datasets to drive insights and surface issues
- Cleaning, parsing, and structuring financial datasets and databases
- Collecting performance data and entering it into data management systems
- Using mapping software to produce data-driven maps
- Developing data visualizations

Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level (ZA-I at NIST) in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience working with simple financial datasets / databases; conducting market research and intelligence; and managing analyses and research.
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
