Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager

We have an outstanding opportunity for a FP&A Manager to support the Southeast Region, which is part of the South Division. The Southeast Region consists of over 30 branches spanning from Georgia to Louisiana. This critical role will be the primary point of contact for all finance-related activities within the region.
Duties & Responsibilities
Regional FP&A Support:
  • Timely preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly results
  • Provide a broad variety of analysis including, but not limited to, variance analysis, product line analysis, trending analysis, customer/vendor/item-level profitability analysis, etc.
  • Analyze and evaluate highly complex financial data from different computer systems and interpret information for the purpose of determining financial performance/trends
  • Communicate and present financial results and various analytical reports to branch, region, and division leadership
  • Develop detailed pro forma valuations to assess the viability of strategic investments, including capital expenditures, greenfields, branch expansions or relocations, etc.
  • Provide financial support to the field to assist them in improving their businesses
  • Support the annual budget process and all forecasting activities for the Southeast Region
  • Work with the divisional FP&A team to ensure recurring processes are continually streamlined to achieve greater efficiencies, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
Divisional Supply Chain FP&A Support:
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly analysis, forecasting, and reporting to the divisional Supply Chain team
  • Enhance existing analytics and reporting package to optimize the division’s inventory management capabilities
  • Perform detailed vendor analysis to support procurement strategies

Other / Ad-Hoc:
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support for the Division President, Regional Vice President, and Vice President of Finance, as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA is a plus
  • 6+ years of finance or accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required; an advanced understand of Excel is preferred
  • Demonstrated success working in a demanding, high-performance working environment with a team-oriented culture
  • Ability to be a collaborative business partner and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships
  • Strong critical thinking skills with experience in anticipating management’s potential questions and next steps
  • Demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter and independent worker
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data, summarize in a clear and concise manner, and provide insightful analysis and commentary for senior management
  • Up to 10% travel may be required

It’s preferred that the candidate live within the Southeast Region’s footprint; however, for the right candidate, this role is eligible to work remotely.
