Vanguard Fire & Security Systems, Inc. is looking for experienced Fire Protection Systems Technicians to join our team to inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and fire suppression systems. For over 60 years, Vanguard has been a full-service provider of fire protection systems across the United States within multiple industries.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform the construction and routine maintenance of fire protection systems including a variety of alarm, detection and suppression systems
- Communicate with customers to understand system deficiencies and be able to make recommendations for repair
- Understand code requirements for fire system inspections and maintenance
- Ability to work well with others
- Maintain a safe driving record and be eligible to a drive a company vehicle.
- Should be able to pass random drug tests and maintain a safe work environment
- Applicants should have, at the minimum, a Texas Fire Alarm, Texas Sprinkler or Texas Fire Extinguisher License or working towards getting a license within six months of hire date
- Experience working as a fire protection technician in installation and repair in an industrial environment
- Familiar with NFPA codes and standards
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
