Western State Hospital is seeking a Full Time Fiscal Technician to maintain the timekeeping system and records for Western State Hospital and the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA). This position will be responsible for monitoring employee time and leave; complying with Hospital and State policy and Fair Labor Standards; making authorized corrections to time and/or leave records; maintaining an audit record; preparing necessary workups to assure accuracy of hours and percentages to be paid for short term disability payments; preparing final pay work ups for terminated employees; back-up weekly timekeeping edits and report processing as needed; back ups and/or keys data for payroll technicians when needed; meeting critical processing and report deadlines as required.

Job Duties
Western State Hospital is seeking a Primary Care Physician Assistant. This position is responsible for providing primary medical care to patients on units while reviewing and maintaining the standards of appropriate medical care.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of approved physician assistant training course and current certification is required; an active, unrestricted Commonwealth of Virginia physician assistant license; knowledge of primary care at the physician assistant level with training in physical diagnosis, pathology, and medical therapeutics; should be able to recognize common manifestations of physical illness encountered in this type of patient population (such as upper respiratory infections, chronic obstructive lung disease, diabetes, hypertension, urinary tract infections, etc).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of laboratory evaluations and monitoring or psychopharmacologic agents preferred. Bilingual a plus. Veterans preference.
