Job Summary - To insure that all materials are at hand to properly prepare all cold food items and or recipes relating to all meal programs. Working in a kitchen environment to prepare all food items using approved recipes in timely manner following HACCP guidelines. Load hot and cold foods for Seniors at Lunch, Meals on Wheels, Senior Day Care and Child Care facilities. Deliver to the designated sites in a timely, friendly and safe manner. Must be 21 to drive agency vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Working as a member of a team in a fun filled and friendly - fast paced kitchen environment. Reviewing all menus and list food items. Following HACCP Guidelines, monitor time and temperature to ensure food is maintained at a safe temperature. Follow specified sanitary procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times. Cover, label and date all foods prior to storing in cooler and or freezer. Report any product shortages and or equipment issues to management immediately.

Maintain vehicles and warehouse equipment (for example cleaning, inspecting, fueling, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle. Inform supervisor of any vehicle problems. Interact with customers to obtain signatures and giving receipts. Heavy lifting of packages and other equipment up to 60lbs. Pack cold foods accurately in a safe and sanitary manner. Fill and deliver all paper supply orders. Load delivery vehicles accurately with the correct hot and cold food units in the order of delivery. Correctly deliver all designated food to assigned sites in a safe manner following all vehicle safety regulations in a friendly and helpful manner. Obey all laws including company safety processes and rules.

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements - High School diploma or equivalent; a Valid Drivers License is required

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Work will require hands in water, frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; Work will require the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. There may be times of prolonged repetitive hand motions. Employee will have moderate exposure to extreme hot and/or cold temperatures; excessive humidity, dampness or chilling; excessive noise, intermittent fumes, smoke or gases, and solvents. Work will be completed around machinery with moving parts.

Emergency Disaster Assistance

As part of the obligation of Aging Matters in Brevard being a lead agency, employees may be required to be available prior to, during and post disaster. Assignments are in accordance to directives from the Senior Resource Alliance, Brevard County Government and Aging Matters in Brevard.

Candidates are required to pass a drug test and Level II Background screening prior to beginning employment.
