Busy dental office seeking contagiously friendly front desk team member.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with interruptions and to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients, parents, doctors, and staff, in person and on the telephone
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Pleasant telephone voice
  • Tactful persuasion skills to influence patients and ensure effective scheduling
  • Effective and efficient while working unsupervised
  • Ability to speak, understand, and write fluent English
  • Basic computer knowledge including basics of Microsoft Word and Excel

Primary duties include some of the following:

  • Verbally greet patients in a warm and friendly manner
  • Schedule patient appointments following documented scheduling policies
  • Utilize effective scripts for all patient interactions
  • Maintain updated patient information in each patient record
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries professionally and with outstanding customer service
  • Communicate with patients regarding missed appointments, schedule changes or any other issues that are related to the schedule
  • Follow-up on all missed appointments and fill canceled appointments
  • Gather appropriate information for Daily Business Meetings and Monthly Business Reviews and disseminate to appropriate staff
  • Assist with the implementation of practice marketing strategies such as asking for referrals and testimonials'
