As a PT Aide, you will be working with a team of physical therapy professionals to provide quality care to patients. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY working, interning, or volunteering at other physical therapy or medical clinics. We will train you to perform all of your expected duties.
Essential Functions:
- Greets patients at the door and guides patients to appropriate areas
- Maintains cleanliness and order in the medical office; cleans treatment areas, and keeps storage, towels and electrode pads organized
- Set up and breakdown hot and cold packs, electrical stimulation, and other treatment modalities under PT supervision
- Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms
- Assisting the PTs with carrying out patients’ treatment plans
- Opening and closing the clinic
- Assists patients by answering questions or by referring to appropriate staff
- Informs provider and/or managing staff of patients requiring immediate attention, or patients requiring logistical help
- Aids in ordering and distributing donuts with brochures and cards to hospital staff once a month
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience: not required
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- License, certification, or registration: not required
Additional Requirements:
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and effectively
- Ability to speak Spanish in addition to English
- Ability to arrive at facility punctually (managing own effective transportation)
