Pacific Substrates is an agriculture commodity manufacturer founded in 2020 in Oakland, California for the purpose of making mushroom cultivation economically viable for individuals and businesses. The business relocated to Edmond, Oklahoma in order to distribute our products to retailers across the United States more efficiently, and to meet the growing demand for specialty mushrooms, without sacrificing quality.

The Packager will be responsible for executing several duties within the production department. Responsibilities for the packaging team include folding/pressing/bagging packaged agricultural goods while helping to maintain overall product quality. The Packager will be required to fulfill production duties in a timely, clean, and safe practice. The Packager will report to the Production Supervisor and General Manager and will be required to work in close areas with other packagers and production technicians.

*Please note - this schedule is Wednesday-Saturday from 7am-530pm (4,10s), with the opportunity to move from Tuesday-Friday 7am-530pm*

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with scientific scales, and must follow proper calibration requirement at the beginning of each day to ensure accuracy
• Expected to facilitate the process of packing materials in their intermediary state, including bagging and folding materials
• Ability to stay focused for long periods of time on a single task

Must always be monitoring and checking product for flaws, contamination, discoloration, or anything out of the ordinary

• Expected to work well independently and not get side-tracked
• Must always wear proper attire while working in production and around equipment to ensure safety and mitigation of contamination
• Other duties as well

QUALIFICATIONS

· Detail oriented and highly motivated, organized, and hard working

• Physical dexterity is required
• Manufacturing or process-oriented experience is preferred
• Maintain appropriate personal and work environment hygiene
• Accountable and trustworthy
• High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, along with frequent bending, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance
• Required to work with some cleaning materials and to wear appropriate PPE while doing so.
