Tropical Shipping is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team of professionals in our Medley, Florida location!

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, accountability, a solid work ethic and commitment to excellence.

This role is responsible for general building and grounds maintenance and repair activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs basic electrical repairs involving wiring, fixtures and appliances
• Performs basic carpentry repairs involving cabinets, partitions, walls and doors
• Performs basic plumbing repairs involving faucets and toilets
• Performs basic mechanical repairs involving fences, gates, window, furniture and lawn equipment
• Paints interior and exterior walls as needed
• Maintains the grounds including yard work and repairing sprinklers
• Repairs roofs at various locations
• Performs basic HVAC monthly inspections and coordinates repairs
• Performs other duties as required

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience Requirements:

• Must have valid Driver's License
• 2 Years general facility maintenance and repair

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to twist, bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb on equipment
• Push and/or pull 50 pounds
