  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus two (2) years of engineering.
Licenses or Certifications:
  • Texas: Engineer – In Training Certification.

Notes to Applicants
This position provides technical consulting services in the Green Building Evaluation and Development group to support the Austin Energy Green Building (AEGB) programs toward meeting the goals of the Austin Energy Resource, Generation and Climate Protection Plan. The person in this position will:

  • Review and approve client building energy models submitted for AEGB ratings.
  • Research and develop processes and tools for building and reviewing energy models.
  • Build energy simulation models to quantify energy and demand savings from adoption of new energy codes and updated AEGB rating programs.
  • Evaluate the operational building performance as compared to the modeled design performance for selective projects.
  • Provide consulting to project teams and outreach to external organizations.
