The Grill Cooks / Kitchen Team is the key to ensuring Balanced Foods delivers fresh, healthy, high quality packaged meals.

Shift Availability: Monday-Wednesday 9am-3pm: Friday-Sunday 9am-3pm

The kitchen associates prepare, cook, portion, package, label, expedite and deliver meals with quality and consistency while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Kitchen associates are required to maintain a clean shared workspace at all times which includes use of sanitizer buckets and consistent washing of all dishes and cooking utensils. Kitchen Associates work as part of a high performing team to provide great tasting food that meets our quality standards and has become recognized as what makes Balanced Foods an industry leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares, Cooks, Portions, Expedites and Delivers Fresh, High Quality, Consistent Meals Assists in the preparation, cooking, portioning and expediting of foods such as meats, vegetables, and snacks. Prepares and portions meals ensuring food quality and appealing appearance for Balanced Foods customers and clients. Monitors food quality, portions through the use of scales and measuring cups. Kitchen associates observe all steps of visual consistency and waste. Ensures food is cooked, portioned and held at correct temperatures to ensure food quality and safety.

2. Safe and Clean Work Environment Maintains Safe Food Handling procedures at all times in preparation of meals and snacks. Maintains equipment safety procedures in all operations including slicers, choppers, mixers and other vegetable, and meal processing equipment. Cleans assigned area following proper sanitary procedures, to include equipment counters, work area, refrigerators, utensils and dispensers; removes and disposes of trash, and washes dishes; sweeps and mops floors. Maintains a safe work environment while working quickly and efficiently. Utilizes tools provided to accomplish tasks safely. (i.e., cutting boards, gloves, oven mits, etc) Ensures all steps are taken to eliminate possibility of cross-contamination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
