Responsibilities:

• During specific days, supervises tree crew while performing residential and commercial tree pruning and removals by ANSI and company standards. Other days, perform tree work as assigned.

• Possess the necessary rigging and lowering skills to perform tree pruning and removals safely.
• Unloads lays out, prepares, and stows materials, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Assists with traffic management at job sites and locations where required.
• Works from the ground using handsaws and poles saws. Drives trucks, loaders and operates other equipment as assigned such as skid steers, chippers, stump grinders, etc.
• Keeps trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent communication with workers aloft.
• Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policies, always including the use of PPE.
• Works safe and follows job safety practices.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Coordinates with the Sales Arborist and/or management before performing work.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Be able to operate and maintain chippers, chainsaws, and all other equipment safely
• Knowledge of Spanish and English language is required
• Prior experience with trimming, removals, using tree equipment and saw operation is preferred
• Experience operating heavy equipment, driving / parking truck with trailer combinations and using good judgment when out in public is strongly preferred.
• Presents a professional appearance and attitude
• A valid and clean Driver’s License is required. Must be commercially insurable in order to be considered for employment.
• A clean and valid CDL license is preferred.
• Must be able to carry 50lbs at a minimum and work outside in all weather conditions
